Cleansing Oil

Cleansing Oil

There are so many products on the market that claim to deep cleanse that it’s hard to choose just one. If you’ve ever asked yourself if there’s a natural alternative, then it’s time you looked into cleansing oil. Using oils to cleanse the skin has numerous benefits, including moisturizing, and as an added bonus, these oils are all natural and do not contain any potentially harmful ingredients.

Which Oils to Use

Two oils that are believed to be great as cleansing oils are jojoba oil and coconut oil. Jojoba oil in particular is noncomedogenic, so it won’t clog your pores. It is believed to unclog pores by removing impurities from the skin and balancing oil production as well. The wonderful thing about  jojoba oil is that it’s so similar to the sebum our skin produces naturally that it “fools” the skin into thinking it’s produced enough. Controlling oil production is another way to help keep the skin clean and fresh-looking.

How to Use Cleansing Oil

One really easy way to use cleansing oil is to apply a few drops to the area you want to cleanse, and then apply a warm, damp facecloth to the area. Doing this will help open up the pores and let the oil do its work. Once the cloth has cooled, all you need to do is wipe the excess oil off with a towel or tissue.

It’s easier than you think to use oil to cleanse your skin, and compared to some of the commercial cleansing products, it could be a far more affordable alternative. The other added benefit is that you know exactly what goes onto your skin and you’re steering away from potentially harmful ingredients, such as parabens, while nourishing your skin. So if you try cleansing your skin this way, you may find that you not only end up with clearer but also healthier and softer skin!
