A treatment program that’ll give you acne-free skin in a month.
Acne blemishes show up on everyone’s face at one time or another — stress, hormones, and genetics can all be blamed for their appearance. But that doesn’t mean you have to put up with the pimples. Instead, fight for an acne-free face with a regimen that’ll give you clear skin in a month.
Clean up your lifestyle. Some people are genetically predisposed to develop acne, but lifestyle can also come into play. Doctors recommend that you eat a healthy diet if you want to have healthy skin — cut back on sugars, oils, and caffeinated foods and beverages and add more fruits and vegetables. Some experts believe that deficiencies in antioxidants — like vitamins A and E — or in omega-3 fatty acids can be a factor in acne as well, so consider taking supplements that will boost your intake of these essential nutrients. Drinking eight glasses of water a day can help keep your skin well hydrated. And because stress can be a factor in causing acne, learning relaxation techniques may help your skin look clearer.
Avoid over scrubbing. You may feel that using scrubs and harsh cleansers will help clear away the oil and give you more transparent skin, but that may backfire, causing your skin to produce even more oil and irritating your face. Stick with gentle cleansers, and use them twice a day.
Try some natural treatments. You can create your acne treatments at home. Many experts in natural healing recommend using apple cider vinegar as a topical acne treatment; swab it onto the affected areas twice a day for acne-free skin. You might also want to try a facial mask made of egg yolk to improve acne and get rid of the scars from past breakouts — simply beat an egg yolk until it’s frothy, apply it to your face, and leave it on until it dries, usually 20 minutes to a half hour. Then wash your face as usual. Lemon juice and tea tree oil can also be effective spot treatments in drying out acne and clearing your complexion.
Oil your skin. It may seem counterintuitive, but applying essential oils to your skin may help make your acne. Try using lavender oil (dilute1 part oil to ten parts water) or peppermint oil (1 part oil to 5 parts water) all over your face to help cut back on sebum and result in the acne-free skin. You can apply an essential oil every night before you go to bed.
Steam-clean your pores. Weekly steaming — either in a sauna or over a pot of boiling water — can help open your pores and clean them out. Only rinse your skin thoroughly after each steam treatment.
Follow these tips, and in just 30 days things will look a bit more clear!
